W.I.S.E. Women Investing in Self Employment (W.I.S.E.)
20 hrs of Training to increase entrepreneurial knowledge and skills. A series of 8 workshops on starting, sustaining and growing a small business with topics related to permits, licenses, legal structure, record keeping, insurance, access to capital, taxes and marketing, networking and an opportunity to a market place events.
Empower individuals to manage finances, plan for retirement, protect their assets and guard against fraud and abuse. Addresses the need for seniors to be financially literate, and independent.
The Ventanilla program represents a new integral part of service delivery at the Mexican Consulate and provides Mexican immigrants who are new to the U.S. financial system with access to vital resources for getting banked, gaining access to free tax preparation and the Earned Income Tax Credit, establishing credit and building a secure financial future within the trusted and culturally relevant setting of the Consulate. strengthening financial stability of immigrant households by embedding financial empowerment strategies into local and intergovernmental infrastructure.
