Senior Connection

Senior Connection

As we become more seasoned in life, it’s important to remain active and connected. The Senior Connection program is an excellent way for those 60 years and older to improve their physical health and build meaningful relationships.  Join us for one of the many classes  that we offer around the city!

The YWCA Olga Madrid Community Center offers an aquatics program for older adults Monday through Friday, 8 am – 11 am. Open swim and aqua aerobics are offered in an indoor heated pool that is open year-round. Benefits include:

  • Gentle on the joints

  • Improvement of heart health

  • Improvement of muscle strength

  • Increased flexibility

  • Reduction of stress levels and mood boosts

  • Reduction of the risk of osteoporosis

After 20 years on insulin, Ms. Rendon is ecstatic that her doctor has taken her off of it. She contributes her positive health transformation to the water exercise at the YWCA and her Fitbit. Join the YWCA aquatics program and see what Ms. Rendon is talking about!

In addition to the YWCA Olga Madrid center, you can find the Senior Connection program at various San Antonio locations offering physical fitness activities such as chair aerobics, dance, senior cardio, and senior boot camp. Classes are offered by experienced certified instructors. We are currently located at the following centers:
