Disengaged youth are 16- to 24-year-olds who are neither in school nor working and need options and resources to guide them toward becoming financially, emotionally, and socially secure adults. Bexar County is home to an estimated 35,000 disengaged youths. This accounts for 15% of this demographic, making San Antonio one of the highest risk cities in the nation. RESET aims to address this issue by providing a career pathway to becoming a certified Community Health Worker. RESET offers paid training, educational coaching, and case management for those selected to participate.
